Buying expired domains for PR, does it nevertheless work?

Ive done some studies over the past month or two about expiring domains with PR to see if it's worth your while to get these expired and wiped domains.

My idea why I'd want to use expired domains could be the thought that old domains are favored than new domains, and to have quick PR.

So I set out to find deleted areas with PR that I could enroll. One feature of areas I was looking for was that the domain still had a, and it was still listed in google.

I will not be mentioning the specific domains here as I need to control the outcomes and stop folks from building backlinks to these domains.

I registered about 4 domains, some have PR2 and PR3. Some have a few pages indexed, some have a few thousand. I also bought a few new domains for my new projects.

I found out that google seldom trips these areas so I want to perfect it but with some new backlinks. After making some backlinks to these domains, two domains sooner or later lost their PR. Those two areas have only a few pages found in google. In one site, used to do a 301 permanent redirect to the new index page. If you are concerned by food, you will probably want to read about linklicious.me. Its PR was retained by this domain. In case people hate to dig up further on free linklicious alternative, we recommend many online resources you can pursue. One key difference this domain has compared to the other two is that this domain has tens and thousands of pages indexed in google. In another domain, I did a 301 and redirect it to a brand new domain. The result is that the new domain got indexed faster and more pages were indexed in comparison to another new domain I listed at once. Nevertheless, PR was down to 0.

There is also an incident where I did a 301 redirect from a classic deleted domain with PR and never got any benefit from it.

In conclusion, there is still inconsistent results on whether buying deleted/expired areas. Some works, some don't. However, what seem to work is that

a. Old remove domains does contain traffic from existing backlinks. It still does produce some traffic, if the old domain has a lot of backlinks.

W. Other search-engines such as for example google and bing do not seem to have an biases against expired/deleted domains..
